Our faculty is committed to exploring and implementing the latest technological advancements At this time, there are SMARTBoards © in all classrooms, and beginning in Fall ’21, students have Gradelink accounts in addition to their Google Classroom and GMail Accounts. Students in grades 6-8 are part of our 1:1 iPad program which continues to transform how our students are learning. Its decade-long impact has been significant. The SEA 1:1 iPad Lease Program starts in the 6th grade with a required leasing model for the acquisition of the iPads. Specifically, students in the Class of 2022 are required to lease the iPad from SEA. The leasing model ensures all students are working with identical school apps and allows the administration to manage the student iPads more effectively. With the 3-year lease payments the student is provided with a Protective case, Accidental Damage Insurance, Apps and eTextbooks, Internet Content Filter. Click here for FAQ.
In the Lancer Lunchroom, we strive to provide a variety of choices, that when selected together, create a balanced meal. We are committed to providing Academy students the foods that will help them return to their afternoon classes fueled and focused. We cook from scratch as much as possible, lean on a number of semi-homemade staples that have become favorites, and limit the number of times we offer those items that most kids consume ‘plenty of outside of school’. In addition to the published hot lunch, we also offer a variety of smart choices from our grab-and-go salad bar. Garden fresh selections include salads, hand cut fruits and vegetables as well as a daily variety of toppings for the salads (hard boiled eggs, tuna, chicken and hummus to name a few). Rounding out our-a-la carte selections, we offer yogurts, as well as granola/breakfast bars, cereal and crunchy snacks. Of course we have treats for special occasions but we encourage the boys to enjoy those in moderation.
