Our Core Values

As one of just twenty Holy Cross Catholic schools in the US, we are dedicated to empowering our students with Holy Cross Catholic values. From a young age, students develop an understanding of five core values distilled from the writings of Blessed Basil Moreau- heart, mind, hope, zeal, and family. We believe in a safe and positive learning environment for all of our students. We believe students learn in different ways and must be taught effectively to meet their individual needs. We believe that learning the fundamentals provides the necessary framework for academic success. We believe in providing a holistic education–through academics, athletics and the arts, as well as spiritual and social growth.

Heart

Heart

Saint Edmond's educates with heart through relational teaching. With the benefit of smaller class sizes, teachers know students very well-- who they are, how they learn best and what they need to grow!

The Academy provides students with meaningful, memorable lessons in all areas of academics, arts and athletics. We know boys, and it shows.

Hope

Hope

SEA teachers know that taking time to make sure their students are hopeful is just as important as any other part of the day's lessons! Our founder's motto was Ave Crux, Spes Unica- “Hail the Cross- Our Only Hope.” We remind our boys to place their doubts aside as happiness and success require hope!

Zeal

Zeal

Zeal is the excitement and commitment that connects us in this community of teachers and students. We recognize zeal in the smallest of acts, and we know we are blessed to be at Saint Edmond's Academy.

Family

Family

Family is everything. We are established as - and built by- a community of families. The sense of family is critical to our whole educational approach. Students must feel part of the family so that they feel safe leaning into discomfort and taking risks as they grow and learn.

Faith

Faith

Founded firmly in a community of faith since we opened our doors in 1959, we continue to educate boys in Holy Cross tradition with special emphasis on the Gospels in both community and academic settings.
