Alumni Events

Saint Edmond’s Academy wants to reconnect with our alumni, from the first graduating class of 1961 to our more recent graduates.  Here are some events in which you may want to be involved.

Red Blazers, Science Lab, Kickball, Fried Dough at Lunch, Detentions: seems like yesterday, well it’s been 30 years! The SEA class of 1987 is having a 30 year reunion. It is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 at the Iron Hill Brewery on the RiverfrontA committee was formed from the class to organize this social event. We are hoping to have a big turnout. This group put together a 20 year reunion 10 years ago and the attendance was amazing. For more information, please contact Mark Centrella at

Brian Ray and I are really excited about our upcoming trip to New York City. We are planning to be there on Thursday, March 2
to have a Happy Hour Social with SEA alumni who live and/or work in the New York City area. At present we have contacted 15 alumni who fit this category. We have 12 who have accepted and a few others that are checking their calendar. If you live, or work, in New York City and we have not contacted you, please let me know. We would love to add more SEA alumni to this list. The tentative location/time to meet is at the Flatiron Hall at 38th W 26th Street around 5:30. Please let me know if we missed the fact that you are in the NYC area and would like to “join the party”.

This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the SEA Lancer Cup Golf outing. The 10th Anniversary Lancer Cup will be played on Friday, June 16 at the Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE.  We are excited to be able to have this event at another fantastic site. More information about the SEA Lancer Cup and registration will be available soon. The Lancer Cup Golf Outing directly benefits SEA and has been a wonderful social gathering for the entire SEA community.
We are asking our alumni to put together groups to play in this event. We can accommodate up to 120 golfers (it would be fantastic if we could reach that number). The 2016 event had 90 golfers, 26 of which were SEA alumni. We are also asking alumni to consider advertising/sponsorship opportunities that are available. This is the area where we can really help generate some revenue for the academy while advertising your business.

Mark your calendars…we have a 2017 date for this event. The Guest Bartender Event will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Brandywine Brewing Company (BBC). The 2016 Guest Bartender Event was a huge success.  The main purpose was to have an evening where all of the SEA constituents could get together for a relaxing evening. In the process, we also raised money for the SEA Annual Fund. I am looking for an alum that would be willing to chair this event, and a few others who would be a part of his committee. I want to thank Michael Reichert ’98, for chairing the 2016 Guest Bartender Event. We need an SEA Alumnus (or a few) to volunteer to help make this a successful and enjoyable evening. It would be great to have representation from each decade 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s on this committee. Please get back to me ASAP if you can help us.

I am looking for alumni who would like to speak to our present 4th to 8th graders during our Monday Morning Meetings.  These usually begin around 10 a.m. and we would ask you to talk for 15-20 minutes.  The talk would include your feelings about your time at SEA, how you were prepared once you left the academy and an explanation of what you are now doing.  Please contact me if you think you would like to be involved in the speaker series.  Our alumni speakers have included Chris Haggerty ’81, Nate Andrisani '84, Michael Gioffre '86, Lou Colameco '73, Josh Alcorn '95, Gene Delle Donne '01, and Riley Reiter '94.
