Service Opportunity
Clean out your closets and help fund raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters! Saint Edmond's is now collecting gently-used clothing, shoes, linens, purses, coats, and stuffed animals to help support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. There are three convenient drop off locations on campus: the lower form parking lot (just look for the big green bin by the playground), in the vestibule at the lower form drop off location, and in the vestibule at the upper form drop off location. Get a head start on spring cleaning while helping support a worthy cause.

Class of 2017 High School Announcement
We are pleased to announce that the students of the Class of 2017 have all completed their high school admissions process. This week we are celebrating accomplishments of those who were awarded scholarships. 6 (of 15) boys who sat for the Archmere Academy entrance exam were awarded academic scholarships. 13 (of 40) boys who sat for the Salesianum School exam also received academic scholarships--one of which was a Presidential Scholarship--the highest award Salesianum offers! Go Lancers!

New Addition to the Library
Thanks to the fantastic results of our Scholastic Book Fair, we were able to order a Free Book Exchange book case which will stationed outside the library. Students may bring in books they no longer want (with your permission) and trade for a book on these shelves. Hopefully the freedom to share books with peers will not only build community within our school; it will also promote the love of reading.

Boy Scouts at SEA
SEA is now the sponsor of a new Boy Scout Troop! We are seeking parent volunteers and current Boy Scouts (6th graders and up) interested in joining SEA Troop 59. Please bring your scout to an informational night This Tuesday, 1/10 at 6:30pm in the Rollins Center. Webelo II (5th-grade) Cub Scouts and their parents who are looking for a troop to bridge to in February are welcome to attend the session as well. For additional information, please email Ken Murphy (Padraic ’19 and Henry ’21).
